Is Eaton K-4364 still available?
Yes – we still stock the original Non-Hard Lock K-4364 kit for pre-2023 Endurant HD transmissions. However, Eaton officially obsoleted it in February 2023 and now recommends the Hard Lock version K-4646.
What is the difference between K-4364 and K-4646?
K-4364 is the older Non-Hard Lock design. K-4646 is the current Hard Lock Bearing Design kit with improved axial stability, updated bearings/seals, and enhanced oil flow (requires A-10004579, A-10004580, etc.).
Do I need to perform the main shaft end-play adjustment?
Yes – it is mandatory whenever the main housing is replaced. One of three selective washers must be selected.
Can I upgrade my older transmission to Hard Lock?
