Installation Highlights
Requires transmission removal in most cases. Main Shaft End-Play adjustment is mandatory after installation (select from washers 10000555, 10001759, or 10001760). Always replace countershaft bearings and input shaft components as a set. Total service time: 8–12 hours. Reference Eaton Endurant HD Service Manual TRSM0950.

Is Eaton K-4358 still available?
Yes – we still stock the original Non-Hard Lock K-4358 kit for pre-2023 Endurant HD transmissions. However, Eaton officially obsoleted it in February 2023 and now recommends the Hard Lock version K-4653.
What is the difference between K-4358 and K-4653?
K-4358 is the older Non-Hard Lock design. K-4653 is the current Hard Lock Bearing Design kit with improved axial stability, reduced vibration, and updated bearings/seals (requires A-10004579, A-10004580, etc.).
Do I need to perform the main shaft end-play adjustment?
Yes – it is required whenever the clutch housing is replaced. One of three selective washers must be used.
Can I upgrade my older transmission to Hard Lock?
Yes – highly recommended. We can supply the full Hard Lock upgrade package (K-4653 + K-4652 + K-4654 + K-4657).
